Episode 272 : WTF Month - Lonely Ladies Who Kill

WTF Month - Lonely Ladies Who Kill

This week on Buried Cinema:

It's WTF month, where we look for bizarre movies to feature on our podcast. (How this is different from other months is a source of debate.) Steve kicks things off with the Iranian-American vampire love story spaghetti Western 'A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night,' written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour and starring Sheila Vand as the lonely vampire. Next Nate takes his opportunity to get another Korean film on the podcast, the final chapter in Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy, 'Lady Vengeance,' starring Lee Young-ae as the eponymous lady. At the end we look forward to Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos' 'Dogtooth' and Japanese avant garde director Nobuhiko Obayashi's 'Hausu.'
